Ugh.

Stupid Nintendo. The big gift that we wanted to get for Ben and Luke this Christmas was a Wii. However, it seems that Nintendo thinks it makes good business sense not to make enough for everyone. I can't find one anywhere. Unless, of course, I'd like to pay nearly $600 for a "bundle" which means it comes with like 5 games.  Even that is through some store I've never heard of on the internet. Silly ol me thought I'd just be able to walk into Toys R Us, plop down the $250 and walk out with a video game system. Apparently I was very wrong.

Almost as disappointing was the day that Scott and I had our shopping date, I came home, wrapped presents and put them under the tree (there is no place in this house where I could hide something and we don't really do the Santa thing anyway). The next morning, the boys were SO excited to see the presents. The second I saw them they informed me of the contents of their stockings. Even Ethan's who was wisely still asleep.  Great. Lesson Learned.

Now I'm off to do the rest of my shopping online to be shipped to Indiana to wait for me to get  there a few days before Christmas.

I totally understand about the Wii... Hubbie had to go stand in line last year for about 2 hours in order to get one of 5 at a Circuit City, in town... I hope you're able to find one...at a store!

I just got a call from a friend whose nephew might be able to hold one for me. Sounds like a long shot to me. The good thing is we're still not even sure we (or should I say, Wii) want one. $250 would get me a coffee table and some end tables to go with my Christmas gift of a sofa and loveseat. Hmmm? That's a little selfish, huh?

Matt was at Target at 8 o'clock one Sunday morning to get ours. He was able to walk in and get it with no problem (no line), but that was back in the summer. Good luck; I hope you find one!

I hope you can get one! Last year we were on the search for the PS3 a very big deal for our children!! It did end up working out, but we always had the back up plan of taking them to shop for it and purchasing the games they would want, in the end it worked out and PS3 was under the tree!!! Santa does teach a good lesson to parents of hiding things til last minute!

We wanted to get one for the boys too so we looked around everywhere and couldn't find one...then Tony found one on ebay and got it (without paying too much). We had never used ebay before, but it came within a week and is brand new. I hope you have some luck finding one.

Save it for a combined Bday present for the boys or something. You'll never find one at this time. But, you can try Ebay. Or just wait until Spring. The prices will go down after the mad holiday rush.
Kids ... they are too darn smart aren't they? Sorry about the Wii luck. Thankfully we haven't hit that stage yet ......
